EFFORTS TO BRING NRI CLOSER TO THE MOTHERLAND

NRI Welfare Society of India was started with the noble objective of strengthening the emotional bonds between India and Non-resident Indians.manmohan.jpg (39095 bytes)India is proud of the Indians living abroad, those who are keeping the flag of the country high, in whichever sphere they are. If India will be strong economically and socially, Indians living abroad will be honored and respected.

The Non-resident Indians sprawling throughout the world strongly desire to see their motherland prosper and the common man should have better resources for bringing up his family. With this aim, thousands and thousands of NRIs have shown their readiness to make investment in India. They have ample financial resources which they wish to devote to the overall development and progress of India. Despite their repeated pleadings, the NRIs have not been successful in their attempt. The reason is obvious-bureaucratic bottlenecks and the vexing and complicated rules and regulations governing investments by non-resident Indians. The NRIs gesture, surprisingly, has not been appreciated in responsible official   circles and all kinds of hurdles are being placed in their waymanmohan1.jpg (38289 bytes)
Societies main objective is to facilitate the entry of NRI money to be pumped into Indian industry, agriculture and other core sectors. With a strong economy, we can face the foreign competition much better and with greater assurance. We would, therefore, urge the authorities to welcome any suggestions for investment by Non-resident Indians, who will only be too happy to come to the assistance to their motherland. They say they take special proud and delight in serving India in their own inimitable fashion.

NRI Welfare Society of India is therefore, making a sincere effort to encourage capital investment from as many NRIs who are willing to. Request for investments by NRIs from large number of countries is there and if rules are relaxed, thousands of crores of rupee can be invested by the rich NRIs in this country, which is on the threshold of the modern era.

There is a communication gap between the NRIs and the Government. Society serves as an active link in solving the NRIs problem. The Society provides a common platform to NRIs from all over the world.

With the high powered Advisory Board consisting of Members of Parliament, Judges, Journalists and social workers, we will be able to put forward the case of Non-resident Indians in a strong way to the authorities

NRI Welfare Society of India is organizing Symposias, Seminars and Conferences to echo the problems being faced by NRIs.
In short, NRI Welfare Society is acting as a watch dog of Non-resident Indians and is fighting for their just causes.

NRIs are a substantial force who come to the services of the country, may it be poverty, medical, housing, environment but its pity this `substantial force` is not fully utilized and tapped by the government. The climate has changed in the country, we have ample of resources but the resources added by the NRIs will further prompt and enhance for all out war against poverty and betterment of the the people
NRI stands for `National Resource of India - Natural Resources for India`. Gone are the days when NRI stood for `Not Required Indians`.

NRI Welfare Society of India, primarily working to bring NRIs closer to their motherland and strengthen the emotional bonds.
