was pleasure for me to attend the 26th International
Congresses of NRIs and I was further delighted to
see the faces of NRIs those who assembled from all
over the world. Very frankly this was the first occasion
for me to come across such a high profile gathering
of NRIs.

am proud and privileged to participate at the 26th
International Congress of NRIs. Such a large assembly
of NRIs speaks volume about their interest in the
motherland. This was one of the best organized conference

i.e. Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs.
To organize such a large gathering is a Herculean

is Infact a great honour for me and my family to attend
and to receive that "Hind Rattan Award"
in the glittering function organized at the 26th International
Congress of NRIs in New Delhi. All the way from 24th
January till 28th January2007, we have enjoyed the
function both in Delhi and Jaipur. Hats off to you,
for your will and hard work in bringing together the
NRI's from world wide under one roof. Great job.
About
the-Hospitality International-Superb-whenever we needed
any assistance, they were there to help us. Yes some
may not be happy for the negligible reasons and it
is quite normal. No one can keep everyone fully satisfied.
Let
us think and share our opinion in order to build the
NRI Welfare Society to more stronger and effective
platform for all the worldwide NRIs.

was a real honour to be recognised in New Delhi under
the auspicious of the NRI Welfare Society of India.
The respect and admiriation the various dignitaries
present at the Congress had for you was very evident,
but this was truly deserved. You have right fully
earned it. To get together such large group of prominent
NRIs and most of all to keep them happy was, I am
sure no easy task I Enjoyed every single moment of
the entire programme. I was also all the time engulfed
watching how you and your team were running around
looking into all the details so that we were comfortable.
In Conclusion, Please convey my appreciation and fondest
regards to your family and the entire team who I believe
made this event a resounding success end a very pleasurable
and momentous Occasion to remember.

last we are back home-looking at the photos we start
remembering all of you and the nice time and hospitality
we enjoyed in Delhi as well as Jaipur. Special greetings
we send to your respected mother-she must be very
proud of her sons being so much alike the never forgetting

I hope we stay in contact with each other and if ever
you come to this side you are most welcome. Please

I
would like to congratulate you for your leadership
in successfully organizing the 26th International
Congress of NRIs. It must be an exhausting job.
I would like to thank the selection committee for
selecting me for Hind Rattan Award. I enjoyed the
festivities. All the staff members were very helpful.
They also needed to be congratulated.
During our trip to Jaipur I observed most of the winners
very closely. To be very blunt, I feel that some of
the winners did not demonstrate the maturity that
people expect from such persons. In my presence, one
winner wanted to beat up the driver of a bus since
he did not follow his order to go to the hotel with
his family.
Being a university professor, I must be one of the
poorest (in terms of money) winners of this award.
Money should not be a major selection criterion. I
know it very well that host countries in the middle
east in particular do not treat NRIs very well, however,
they pay them well. These NRIs, when they return to
India for a visit, they also mistreat others.
The Congress was a big success in all respects. However
I believe that there is a room for improvements in
all efforts.
To attract younger people, you could initiate something
for the rising ones.
