It is a matter of immense pleasure to know that 28th International Congress of NRIs is being organized by the NRI Welfare Society of India from 24th to 28th January 2009 at Delhi and Jaipur.
As India is opening up increasingly to the global players and the world of business is becoming more tightly integrated, I am sure that after the deliberations amongst NRI community, eminent personalities from Indian Politics, trade, industry, academicians, practice professional and bureaucrats from Government of India, the Congress would come out with some improved, practical, concrete and workable suggestions for implementation to attract NRI investment with the rider of safeguarding their interest.
I am sure the comprehensive Souvenir, planned to be published to mark the occasion, will cover all up to-date a Government notifications and relevant material to enable NRIs to take advantage of broad based policies of the UPA Government especially tailed for the NRIs in the context of present global industrial scenario.
While encouraging the enthusiastic zeal of the Organizer’s I wish the function and release of Souvenir a stupendous success.

I am happy to learn that the NRI Welfare Society of India is organizing its 28th international Congress of NRIs from 24-28 January 2009 in New Delhi and Jaipur. For the past 24 years, the Society has advocated the cause of Non-Residential Indians living in different parts of the world and enabled its members to remain in touch with India. I thank and congratulate the Society on its efforts to promote India’s interests abroad through its members.
The 28th International Congress of NRIs provides a platform for the exchange of ideas among all stakeholders including the NRIs Government officials and economic experts. I wish the 28th International Congress of NRIs much success.
